FAMILY TRAVEL · THE DECISION DETAILS
Airport Limousine’s family discount can reduce a qualifying Seoul-to-Incheon Airport trip, but it is not a round-trip discount. The operator’s notice excludes departures from Incheon Airport toward Seoul or Gimpo. For two adults and one child paying the listed child fare, that direction rule can cut the expected round-trip saving in half.
This guide covers Airport Limousine Co., Ltd., the operator at airportlimousine.co.kr. A promotion offered by another airport-bus company is not interchangeable, even when both buses serve the same airport.
Follow the arrow toward Incheon
The operator’s ongoing family-discount notice, checked September 9, 2026, offers one free passenger for qualifying groups of three or more, applying the child fare first when a child is included. Its Incheon routes qualify in the airport-bound direction. The notice says to tell the driver when boarding.
It separately allows the promotion in both directions on Gimpo Airport routes. That does not extend the offer to an Incheon-to-Seoul arrival trip. Write the actual origin and destination beside each fare rather than labeling both legs “airport bus.”
A family round trip is ₩80,000 in this model
Airport Limousine’s current fare table, checked September 9, lists ₩17,000 per adult and ₩12,000 per child for its direct Seoul–Incheon service. Use the specific route’s fare when traveling via Gimpo or on a different service.
The calculation below assumes two full-fare adults, one passenger who qualifies for the operator’s child fare and family offer, the direct route, and unchanged posted fares. It does not count a lap infant as a qualifying third fare-paying passenger.
| Trip | Without the family offer | With the qualifying offer |
|---|---|---|
| Incheon Airport to Seoul | ₩46,000 | ₩46,000 |
| Seoul to Incheon Airport | ₩46,000 | ₩34,000 |
| Both trips | ₩92,000 | ₩80,000 |
The ordinary one-way total is (2 × ₩17,000) + ₩12,000 = ₩46,000. Removing the qualifying child’s fare on the airport-bound leg saves ₩12,000 overall, not ₩24,000. The inbound leg remains at the ordinary modeled total.
Three eligible adults produce a different saving: the airport-bound fare falls from ₩51,000 to ₩34,000. Their modeled round trip is ₩85,000 instead of ₩102,000. “One free” therefore does not identify the amount until the passenger mix is known.
Check the bus company before comparing the train
Start with the operator and route number, then check the boarding stop, terminal, direction, passenger ages, and applicable fare. Confirm the offer with the driver before paying. Do not assume an online ticket or reseller booking automatically includes an on-boarding promotion.
For a hotel near the route, the airport-bound saving may be useful without changing the itinerary. If reaching that bus requires a separate paid transfer, include that transfer before declaring the bus cheaper. A ₩12,000 fare reduction is not automatically a ₩12,000 reduction in the door-to-door budget.
Our AREX Express versus All-Stop family comparison addresses a different decision: whether the train’s terminal and stopping pattern fit the trip. Neither the bus discount nor the word “Express” should decide the trip before the hotel location does.
Where this offer earns its place
K-Trend’s view: put the family promotion on the departure-day checklist, especially when the same operator already provides a convenient route. Do not build the arrival budget around a discount the operator excludes in that direction.
For a family staying in Seoul through the next week, the modeled ₩80,000 total remains useful only if the route, offer, fares, and passenger eligibility are unchanged. A different bus company or a via-Gimpo service requires a new row, not a small adjustment to the headline saving.
Keep the terminal decision separate as well. Our Incheon T1-to-T2 transfer guide explains why the train’s short running time is not the full transfer allowance. Once in Seoul, use the subway child-fare rules rather than carrying the airport bus’s age or price assumptions into city transit.
