K-Trend is an independent English-language editorial publication for U.S. readers who want useful context on Korean beauty, fashion, and K-culture. We focus on the decision behind the trend: what is officially confirmed, what a product or campaign actually shows, what remains uncertain, and what a reader should compare before buying, copying a look, or planning around an announcement.
What we cover
Our current coverage includes K-beauty products and routines, celebrity and campaign makeup, Korean fashion, and selected culture or lifestyle developments with a clear use for readers outside Korea. A topic does not qualify simply because it is popular. It must have a defined reader question, reliable evidence, an original comparison or decision framework, and enough value to remain useful after the first surge of attention.
How we report
We start with official or primary sources whenever they are available. Depending on the article, those sources may include a brand’s official product page, campaign materials, ingredient list, shade chart, corporate announcement, event organizer, government agency, or other first-party record. Reputable independent reporting may add context, while search snippets, social captions, retailer summaries, and unattributed summaries serve only as discovery aids.
Korean-language material is translated or summarized for meaning rather than copied word for word. When a Korean term, product name, campaign credit, price, date, or availability claim matters, the article should identify the source and the date it was checked. Conflicting sources are described rather than silently blended into one answer.
Our articles also add K-Trend’s own analysis. That may be a shade map, a product-role breakdown, a comparison of official claims, a decision path, or a conditional outlook. Editorial judgment is not presented as a verified fact, and a visual resemblance is not presented as proof that a celebrity used a product.

What the K-Trend Desk byline means
K-Trend Desk is the organizational byline responsible for source-driven research, comparison, writing, editing, corrections, and article maintenance.
If K-Trend later publishes work by a named contributor, that person’s role, relevant experience, and method must be described truthfully on a public profile and in the article where it matters.
Contributor methods and review labels
When an article relies on firsthand reporting or testing, it names the contributor and documents the relevant method, date, and scope. The hands-on review label is reserved for that documented work. Source-based comparisons identify their official evidence and editorial criteria, while campaign coverage stays within the documented campaign context.
These standards govern new and materially updated work. Firsthand labels are used only when a named contributor and documented method support them.
Images and rights
K-Trend uses photographs and product or campaign images only when a publication right has been recorded. Attribution does not create permission. We do not take images from search results, blogs, news pages, retailers, or social posts merely because they are easy to find, and we do not remove watermarks, credits, badges, or logos to disguise an image’s origin.
Under the current image policy, K-Trend does not use generative editorial images. An image may illustrate a subject, but it is not evidence that a claim is true.
Commercial independence
K-Trend’s current approved revenue model is Google display advertising only. K-Trend does not currently earn affiliate commissions, publish sponsored posts, sell leads, or offer paid placement. Advertisers do not choose our topics, approve our conclusions, or purchase favorable coverage. Advertising and editorial decisions remain separate.
If the business model changes, the relevant policy pages and page-level disclosures must be updated before the new arrangement begins.
